kesenai tsumi

Track Listing

  1. Kesenai Tsumi
  2. Shunkan
  3. Iryuhin
  4. Kesenai Tsumi (Instrumental)

1. Kesenai Tsumi

Whoop!  Well, Kesenai Tsumi starts with some guitars and the drums playing.  Nana comes in with a deep voice and starts off with the verse.  Though she goes into her higher pitch in the chorus which wow…she’s got a whiney-sounding high pitch.  It’s a pretty awesome rock song, if that’s what it is.  Anyways, The guitar solo was pretty hard to listen to but still good nonetheless.  I like her ad-libbing at the end of the song.  Great start.

2. Shunkan

Shunkan is definitly a lot slower than “Kesenai Tsumi”.  Once again she starts us with her singing the verses in her lower register.  It also has a lot less energy pulsing through it.  I’d call this the slower version of “pureness” but thats just what I think.  A good pop/rock song anyway

3. Iryuhin

Wow, and we get a little more lighter on the rock song.  The thing is that Nana does sound a little whiney in the verses ahhhh!.  This song sounds a lot like something you would hear Avril Lavigne sing, well obviously not in Japanese but I’m talking about the chord structures and overall sound of the song.  I did like this song though, it gets me humming along.

Nana Kitade…..Obviously this single was really that good because of “Kesenai Tsumi’s” tie-in with Fullmetal Alchemist.  Shunkan does go on to be on the album, which is kind of eh…I think Iryuhin would have been the better choice.  Overall, it’s a nice single and all but you should stick with getting the album.

Track Listing

1. INNOCENT SORROW

Whoa, starts off really dark and Takanori shows off his emotional vocals in this rock track.  It keeps a real steady beat and I enjoy that a lot!  I really liked the middle of the song before the guitar solo that sounded epic.  Though it can seem odd since it has that quiet part which was a bit too long IMO.  The end shows some rapping?  Well, it becomes a staple in their career. Even then even further in the ending it’s all long and not needed really.  Overall good track

2. Fre@k $HoW

This track starts out with some abstract beats and then comes the strong guitar riff.  Takanori in the verses is like singing in the megaphone which was cool.  He comes in fully, but returns to the megaphone and then back to full.  The chorus can be catchy as hell though.  Cool, how they stop to say ~Freak Show~.  That was eerie and yet so needed.  When they performed this at Live Earth they repeated Freak Show so much it was chanting which was awesome.

a.b.s’s debut single was pretty damn awesome.  We got INNOCENT SORROW which was used for D.Gray-Man’s 1st opening which boosted its sales a lot.  Then again T.M.Revolution was leading the band which also shocked many a fans because this isn’t what we’re used to.  My opinion a.b.s. is totally awesome.  Great single, get this!
