Track Listing

  2. TOMORROW
  3. Lovely♥Cat’s Eye (Instrumental)
  4. TOMORROW (Instrumental)

1. Lovely♥Cat’s Eye

Meow!…LOL…So this rock track is definitly a strong one.  Kind of reminds me of music you’d hear by PUFFY…Still it’s a very energetic track by Misono.  Misono does sound like she’s yelling in the chorus, which brings more life in here.  I love the guitar riffs all over.  The bridge is even greater.  Bang your head to this everyone!

2. TOMORROW

As if it isn’t carrying the torch this is actually just as energetic as the title track.  A remake by Maaya Okamoto, Misono has made it her own and created this rock/pop delight.  The biggest between the two songs is that piano is at the forefront which again is nice.  A feelgood song definitly.

Misono’s 4th single was definitly a step up since “Kojin Jugyo” and was a defintily fun single to listen to.  Though TOMORROW doesn’t appear on “Never+Land” it’s definitly a good reason to get this single.  Lovely♥Cat’s Eye is definitly one of her finer works in this era, showing a more fun, rock side.

fortune

Track Listing

  1. Fortune
  2. Everlasting
  3. DreamerS
  4. Fortune -Instrumental-

1. Fortune

How majestic is the beginning, it’s almost awesome, then right after the synths jump right in making it very dance-like.  I love her vocals in this song, its almost calming really.  The chorus shoots out and it’s very anthemy and we go back to the majestic synth noises.  This is my favorite Nami single for a reason and it’s this song right here.

2. Everlasting

Everlasting is the wintry song represented from the “Fortune” single.  How well was it? I like it, because it doesnt stay real ballad as most “Winter” songs are, you can here the Guitar wailing through the chorus, which is definitly intriguing at the most.  Then she enters the second verse and her Acoustic guitar, which is really nice.  All in all, this song is nice to hear when your bored.

3. DreamerS

Very much like some of her stuff from “Greeting” this song actually really didn’t catch my attention at first, eventually I got used to it though.  Still It’s nothing like “Koisuruchikara” and they both sound alike.  Somehow I think “Distance”, “Promised Land”, DreamerS, and “Koisurushikara” are all alike in a way…Maybe it’s just me, but they just have the same qualities one way or another.  Still, this is an OK song.

Fortune, used for Radiata Stories was a great song and single.  Fortune was the awesome dance track she needed, Everlasting, our power winter ballad, and DreamerS the hopeful song.  Though Fortune and DreamerS do go on to be on “Make Progress”.  Everlasting is actually not missed much by me. So I’m alright with the decision.

whitekey

Track Listing

  1. white key
  2. white key ~ doze off mix
  3. Moujiki Asa ni Naru no ni
  4. white key TV mix

1. white key

What an awesome beginning!  The synths and guitar joining in for that was pretty shweet.  Then Ami comes in and kinda sounds grating, even worse was the chorus.  Her voice is almost horrendous in the chorus.  Everything else was alright from there.  Still, it’s a bad thing that this song had such a bad chorus.

2. white key ~ doze off mix

Wow, this definitly has a strange sound at the beginning that creates this “dozing” sound.  Ami comes is strong with the verse, right after some keyboard plays and the doze noise stops, but comes back in.  Even better is there’s no chorus…I mean wow, usually I find it a bad thing not to include the chorus, but in this case it’s a good thing.  Later on the guitar comes in and sounds better.  Is it bad that I like this more than the original?

3. Moujiki Asa ni Naru no ni

We’ve come to our B-Side, and its a pretty sad sounding song.  She starts singing and you start hearing the percussion gradually getting louder.  It doesn’t take away the lone sound of the guitar and Ami away much.  Ami’s vocals are a bit flat though which kinda takes away the feeling of it.  Though it sounds like she projected her feelings quite well.  After the chorus, it ends quietly, so it’s pretty short

Ami, Ami, Ami….this single was pretty bad….The remix was better than the original mix of white key…..it is a catchy song I’ll give you that, but her vocals were pretty bad.  the B-Side was actually a surprising one, very emotional and quiet, I’m surprised that this wasn’t on “SA” BTW This was also the only B-side not to make it.  Which IMO pisses me off.  I say pass this single up unless you want Moujiki Asa ni Naru no ni.
