It has been a while since we’ve seen a slow song take over as an A-side from Daichi and it sounds really nice for a song titled Lullaby. Instead of the usual suspects of an R&B ballad, Lullaby has a lot of synths and clicks and such. Of course there’s nothing to bag about Daichi’s vocals since they’re solid and together and it sounds right in the arrangement.
As the B-side, Drama takes up the role for the more aggressive tune and I like Daichi’s energetic dance tracks a lot more since his last era. To me, it sounds like a more rougher cut of “Delete My Memories”, but at the same time it has the attitude and beat to make it stand out a lot which is pretty good.
Daichi’s 2nd single of the era to me was a lot more memorable than “The Answer” simply because the A-side was something refreshing and different for him being an R&B ballad of sorts. That song was simple and pretty to listen to while Drama was what he does best and that’s dance music. I’m having better hopes for the era.
