Now this is the Momoclo that I’ve grown to enjoy recently.  Unlike “Z Densetsu” being all hyper and positive across the hero land with the pitchy vocals, D’ no Junjou feels kind of like what the group sounded like in their indies days by having a little tradition thrown into their music (add in the ninja epic PV) and we have a great combination.  I also thought they all sung a bit more stronger as well going deeper and adding a little mystery as well.  This is definitely the preferred song from them.

Closing the “Battle and Romance” era off for the group, I must say that between the simultaneous releases of this single and “Z Densetsu”, I must prefer this for sure. While I still don’t understand the name change after Akari’s graduation, I’m sure there’s a lot to it, but with D’ no Junjou, I feel they’ll be OK without her.  Sad that the album won’t include “Momoiro Punch” and “Mirai e Susume!” but it’s whatever lol.

Momoiro Clover Z – Z Densetsu ~Owarinaki Kakumei~

As a humorous homage to Super Sentai, Z Densetsu is supposed to be the groups superhero theme and while it would’ve sounded great otherwise, I’m not impressed since it felt messy and vocally offputting…especially for Momoclo!  The guy that speaks in various places doesn’t really do much but from the things he said, I can tell all five ladies got solo parts and that’s good…but their vocals are so pitchy….Not a big fan of this one!

As the first single without Akari and the first with the new name of the group MomocloZ didn’t exactly do well with Z Densetsu IMO.  I think they idea of the whole Super Sentai was great and the PV looked honest enough but the song brought the worst of them all since they were going for such a higher pitched style than stuff I heard before them…Despite the short tracklisting, they also released another single along with this…can “D’ no Junjou” do better?
