Te ni Furete
The mini-album begins with a kind of funky melody to open up Hanataba. I kind of enjoyed the longing kind of drive that this song have and Yuuta’s vocals really bring me in, especially in the bridge where filters warble his vocals a little bit. I must say for the first Prague song I’ve listened to, it’s funky and cool to listen to!
2. Circus Life
Circus Life might be slower than “Hanataba” but it feels raw and kind of live for some reason. Sadly, due to that, it doesn’t seem to have as enough spark to keep it afloat and it seemed like it just created in a few seconds. Yuuta also kind of sounds bored and it shows since he’s dragging his notes and sounded a wee tipsy here.
After the boring “Circus Life” (oh irony), Yumeto begins with a filtered opening before opening into tune that isn’t as funky as “Hanataba” but enough to catch my attention. I do think this song has a good riff throughout and everyone in the trio sounds great on their instruments…I was impressed.
4. Te ni Furete
Calming things down again for Te ni Furete, this is much more of a presentation as a mid-tempo track than “Circus Life” for sure. I also do think that Yuuta sounds the best in this track since he’s stable in his vocals and did a great job emoting. I don’t know if it’s my favorite off the mini-album, but it’s a nice song otherwise.
5. Night Flight
Hahaha, it would be hilarious if this was a Perfume cover xD. Sadly it isn’t, but it’s the mini’s mysterious song because it’s quiet and has the same note progression but grows into this powerful song when it reaches the chorus before jumping back into the verses. I did like it overall, but not as good as others.
After Prague released their first album “Perspective”, they opted for a mini-album next and Hanataba was alright but to me they sound a little like a more amateurish NICO Touches the Walls but I don’t mind since this group has the potential to do great things. Like I said, it’s alright but nothing I havent heard before in other groups lol.
