Aozora ga Itsumademo You na Mirai de Are! (2012 Dorimusu Ver.)
Shining Butterfly (Instrumental)
1. Shining Butterfly
If you’ve been a fan of the whole emo era of Momosu, then Shining Butterfly might be the song you’ll be like from the nostalgic group of Momosu. It’s pretty dramatic of a song and I sense a bit of equality for lines even though the PV was a Rika-chan fest. I really like the song and it does sound a lot like “Shouganai Yume Oibito” and songs of a similar nature so I was drawn to it…and hearing that Takitty also sung a small bit was interesting nonetheless. Yeah, even though it’s their first and only A-side it did show what the girls can do with original music (unlike the two boring songs from the album they had.
2. Aozora ga Itsumademo You na Mirai de Are! (2012 Dorimusu Ver.)
Another version of this song? I mean we’ve heard it once on the self-cover album but now we get a new version of that song? Considering that the original wasn’t an A-side, yet one of their most popular songs live, Aozora ga Itsumademo You na Mirai de Are! got a nice touch up as the B-side here. I mean it got an extended intro and the arrangement was changed into more of an R&B-like style so it would sound a little more mature (I’m pretty sure that was the case). Now I’m not sure if the lines were changed between the members from the first time Dream Momosu covered the song again but either way it’s a pleasant song but I would’ve rather had a different song covered (that they haven’t covered already, but that won’t happen).
As the group’s first and only single, Shining Butterfly was actually quite nice which is rather surprising since I was worried that they would kind of mess that up. Shining Butterfly is great and is there for the people that can’t really take current Momosu’s kiddy sound (and for the nostalgic fact that a lot of great singers return here). Also, their cover of Aozora ga Itsumademo You na Mirai de Are! wasn’t bad and I kind of like the new little splashes of color they added for this tune. As a last release, I guess we should’ve saw it coming but at the same time, I kind of wish they would release one studio album, just for the hell of it yknow? Still, it’s nice to see all 10 girls here (plus a little of Ai in Shining Butterfly).
