1. Love Never Stops

Love Never Stops is a bit opposite when compared to “Everyday’s a Beautiful Story” simply because it’s more synth based and there’s auto-tune usage in this track.  I don’t know why, but the song is a bit natural in the arrangement, but Angelababy is so covered with auto-tune that it really makes you wonder why this song has this odd combination.  It’s alright, but it feels like something Q;indivi would pull off more….then again I don’t really wanna listen to Rin sing this.

Being as light as its counterpart, Love Never Stops is the more synthetic track of the two digital singles but this one feels kind of weird to listen to simply for the fact of Angelababy’s auto-tuned vocals.  I think I’ll grow to enjoy this but these two songs did not surpass “Beauty Survivor” one bit.

After the awesomeness that was “Beauty Survivor” I was wondering what we’d get next from our new singer and the first of the two digital releases released simultaneously, Everyday’s a Beautiful Story is definitely a walk away from her electro debut into a more poppy song and she’s not using auto-tune this time around.  Her voice sounds alright, but she’s lacking interest in singing the song altogether.  It’s OK, but I felt like after her debut, she slipped a bit.

Yeah, there’s not much to say in the summary that I haven’t said already.  Song is alright, but not better than her debut…let’s see what’s her other digital single fared.

Everyone who knows me should know that I love Shinichi Osawa works and I’m not sure why but I’m falling for this song even though there’s a lot of ideas in the song strung together.  As much as I enjoy the rather crazy arrangement and ideas, it shows with Angelababy’s singing.  When she actually calms down to sing in the acoustic driven parts she sounds great, but she’s kind of like abrasive to her yelling stuff (like the beginning).  I also think that Shinichi’s work with this song sounds like something that would’ve been great during the ravex era.

Wow, another Chinese to JPN artist debuting!  Sweet gives me more to look forward from Angelababy.  While debuting under Shinichi is great, it just makes me have thoughts that she’ll end up as the second Eri Nobuchika (just without the awesome vocals that she has).  I expect more good tunes from this new artist ^_^
